The College encourages you to make a gift to the Legacy of Excellence Campaign that fits with your personal financial and tax-planning needs. Your gift will be tax deductible as allowed by law. Additionally, to maximize this benefit, you may pay your pledge over several years. Usually a five-year period is suggested; however, a longer period for unique situations can be arranged.

Subject to the College's acceptance policy, gifts may be made using securities of publicly traded companies, real estate, cash, and qualified gifts of life insurance. Providing for a gift to the College through an estate planning process is another option.

The College encourages you to consult with your financial and tax advisors to determine how a gift to King's may benefit both you and the campaign. Members of the campaign staff also are available to answer your questions, provide information and appropriate assistance, and work with your advisors to fulfill your gift intentions.

Many of us remember special King's people who made a difference in our academic and personal lives. Perhaps you were especially influenced by someone in the Holy Cross Community, another student, a member of your own family, or someone on the faculty or staff. The Legacy of Excellence Campaign can provide a naming option for you to honor such a person with special recognition.

Your gift could name a building, a professorship, an endowment fund, or a program. Information on naming opportunities is available from the College's campaign office. We encourage you to speak with a member of the campaign executive committee or a campaign staff member concerning naming options. Special gift naming requests are subject to review by the College's directors.
